Some Louisiana Republicans have a question for Gov. Bobby Jindal: Who runs the state’s tax policy — the governor or Grover Norquist? Jindal, who is exploring a 2016 presidential run, is fighting with his own party over how to fill a $1.6 billion budget hole. But like many GOP-ers, he is eager to preserve his anti-tax bona fides. Jindhal loved giving out tax credits and the like to individual businesses leaving a gaping hole in LA's budget. He should of worked on improving the overall business climate in instead of the crony capitalist approach.

Cutting spending is the only thing that really works. If gov’t limited itself to what’s in the constitution, it would be affordable and politicians wouldn’t be scrambling to come up with gimmics to raise pennies every year. Good luck w/that.

When faced w/a shortfall, you’d think they could just not spend that amount in the least painful part of the budget, however I notice that state officials tend to cut in the more painful areas to punish voters, such as closing the MVA, etc..
