In Texas they are called Peace Officers.
Sure they might be called that, but is that what they are?
Are they about peace or are they about bludgeoning the people over the head via ever increasing and ever expanding criminalization?
Peace is not the absence of war, but the presence of justice. Enforcing the law can be a part of that, but it is very common that this 'enforcement' is subjective (depending on the person; e.g. the blue line
) rather than objective (X broke the law, it doesn't matter if X is the Governor).
