And the manner prescribed by law allows for it. Which hardly ever happens, though the hotel owner gave them that permission neccessary.
If the management of the hotel gave their permission, that is different.
Was just about to ping you to this..
Where is the conflict of statements and documents!
Next time I make hotels reservations, I’m requesting not just a non-smoking room but a non-Ebola one, too.
How many of those will be wandering the streets, going bowling and going out for soup? People have no common sense these days.
You are so right! We all need to get down from our high horses and not be all wee-wee’d up.
That is quite a conspiracy, and why haven't the millions of Americans started dying yet?
Perhaps the fear mongering, and screaming in fear and panic moment, has passed.
Put them in the ILLEGAL ALIEN IN CHIEF’s bedroom and force him and his baboon of a wife to sleep with them.
We know much more now than we did in August 2014.
From Dallas we learned that flying on airplanes and residential close contact, up to the point of critical illness, is very low risk. From New York we learned that bowling balls and subway rides with incubating persons are very low risk.
From Bethesda and Creighton and Emory we learned that survival with proper treatment, at least before the terminal phase of disease, should be 100% and infection of healthcare workers properly protected should be zero.
We also learned that treatment of a single individual requires the dedicated attention of 35-40 nurses and costs upwards of a million unreimbursed dollars.
What we have not learned (and I don’t expect that we will learn) is WHY, given all of the above and given the recent sharp declines in incident cases in West Africa, WHY there is planning and now actuation of a system to transport Ebola patients to the USA.
“”11 Americans returning from Sierra Leone for Ebola concerns””
Americans coming home for observation, and treatment if they need it, big deal.
Are we still having to deal with the argument that Americans should not be allowed to come home for medical treatment? We went through that when those first two Christians from the Graham organization were brought home, and that was a long time ago.
Yeah, especially since 600k die each year from malaria.
Thanks for the ping!
Well, considering that Ebola remains stubbornly non-communicable until after symptoms appear, and that it still requires direct contact to get it, I don’t see any problem.
This article looks to me like the stupid fear-mongering articles we saw so many of during the height of the outbreak.
Because of Ebola, however, another epidemic is poised to break out.
Measles.
All of the fear-mongering scenarios about Ebola actually apply to measles. It is one of the most contagious diseases known. It is airborne, can travel on air currents, and can remain infectious in the air for two hours. People with measles are contagious for days before symptoms appear. Each person who catches measles exposes, on average, 18 others to the virus. People who are not immune WILL catch it when exposed.
If measles appears in those countries that were recently hit with Ebola, it is likely to cause many more illnesses and deaths than Ebola has ever caused, because over one million children have not been vaccinated during the Ebola outbreak. In countries without good healthcare systems, the death rate of measles is 5-10%. That is a lot of lives at risk right now.
Ebola? Give me a break.
You’re Welcome, Alamo-Girl!
