Ferguson Rising: Spiritual Awakening

Be advised, some people say they get a page of grey lines as if the story has been "neutralized". If you experience this, click on the link labeled "more>" under the pic.

Thanks for the working link. I read the article and while I found what was happening in Indiana to be impressive, I have only limited faith in the specific Ferguson church mentioned. There are some fine pastors doing God's work here, but many but there are also many who have associated themselves with the "St. Mike" movement and have been on the wrong side of this issue.

The only Ferguson church mentioned by name in the article was the Believers Word Temple Fellowship, unless I missed something. The church is not in Ferguson, but that's a minor issue. I am very familiar with the area. When I was a child I regularly visited the church that's across the street from BWTF's property.

I want to believe that this church is not like some of the other predominantly black churches in the area that are blindly supporting the "justified anger" view of this matter. As of now I have no reason to think one way or the other. I checked out their website and nothing screamed, "run away!" but it didn't feel completely appealing either. I will check it out and see if this is a good place.

That being said, I will accept prayer for Ferguson from any and every direction, but I prefer being with people who realize that St. Mike assaulted a police officer and that was the cause of the riot.
