FERGUSON, Mo. — The protesters who spent eight months pressing for changes in Ferguson's police practices after the fatal shooting of Michael Brown take credit for this week's resignations of the city manager and the police chief.

And they insist they still have unfinished business, with many planning to stay in the streets until the mayor of the St. Louis suburb is forced out and the entire police force dissolved.

"We will protest until we see everything in our favor. This movement has legs," Derrick Robinson, a protest organizer, declared Friday. "We're out here fighting for justice and equality, and that's what we'll continue to fight for."

The police force is no longer needed or wanted. Time to go.

Agree. Let the inmates take over the asylum. It will be fun to watch the outcome.

“What goes around comes around.”

Good! Dissolve the police department and let the animals who live there reap the rewards of political correctness, affirmative action, hatred of all laws, hatred of whites, and their willingness to revert back to the stone age their relatives in Africa still live.

Civil rights? That phrase is a total Oxymoron in the United States of Africa.

I agree. Let them have the law of the jungle if that’s what they want.

Please.
Somebody find jobs for the remaining cops—FAR AWAY, have them go, and just let the place fester to death without any LEO at all.
Should be instructive.

If I was a police officer there; I’d have to consider leaving or changing careers. Not easy to pull up stakes and leave your home but this particular place has gone to the dogs. There’s no backup at the local or state level that appears effective.

The good people of Ferguson (and I have no doubt there are many) are the ones who will suffer if their police force is dissolved. I certainly would not want to be a home or business owner in the “city”. Turn the whole damn place over to the blacks like they did in Detroit and it won’t take long to totally destroy it. I blame odumbo and his ilk for allowing the chaos to continue. Odumo has NEVER asked for civil unrest to calm, he only fans the flames when/if possible and Ferguson is a perfect example.

I agree. However, this will give the White House an excuse to take over law enforcement in Ferguson. Once that happens, before long, every local police department will be replaced by a federal force.

Of course, the Justice Dept concluded that there was no reason to indict Officer Wilson: he did nothing wrong. The whole Michael Brown narrative was a total lie. But facts have ceased to matter here a long time ago.

I wonder what would happen if the governor and the authorities in St Louis county met these new demands. They could reassign black police officers to Ferguson, and let the unwelcome white officers take those jobs in primarily white locales. It's the only logical conclusion to refusing to stand up to the thugs who have destroyed Ferguson.

Ya' think the black officers would want that?

If this is allowed and accomplished, we can be assured the armed coup has begun and if we don't fire back (and we haven't yet) we ARE sheeple ... cowards ala Eric Holder, pussies, pansies and any other pejorative fitting

I WILL ALSO BELIEVE THAT THE POLICE FORCE AS AN ENTITY HAS BEEN COMPROMISED AND NEUTERED.

obama's brownshirts are in charge, and all it took was two bullets

NO!

No matter the cesspool it may be ... the owners of the sewer are responsable to clean it and keep it clean ... NOT turn it over to the rats that will only continue to breed and take over the water supply that USED TO supply THE PEOPLE

When considering hope and change from the viewpoint of the failed black urban subculture that is Ferguson Mo, there were no hopes realized, no positive changes

Ferguson is the glaring symbol for Obama failure

The professional racists rushed in to fan the flames have also failed
