Jeb Bush used his private e-mail account as Florida governor to discuss security and military issues such as troop deployments to the Middle East and the protection of nuclear plants, according to a review of publicly released records.
The e-mails include two series of exchanges involving details of Florida National Guard troop deployments in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, the review by The Washington Post found.
Aides to Bush said Saturday that none of the e-mails contained sensitive or classified information, and that many of the events mentioned in them were documented in press accounts, either contemporaneously or later. But security experts say private e-mail systems such as the one used by Bush are more vulnerable to hackers, and that details such as troop movements could be exploited by enemies.
An unknown number of the e-mails housed on Bushs server were redacted or withheld from public release because they contained sensitive security issues, Bush representatives have said. Communications director Tim Miller said general policy was for Bush to discuss sensitive National Guard issues in person with only occasional briefings by e-mail that wouldnt contain information that should not be in the public domain.

Another attempt to deflect from Hillary’s mishandling of classified information.
So Jeb and Hillary both suck.

Hmmmmm. The Washington Compost or RINO political aides...
Who to believe?!?
NOT a Jeb fan but anyone who didn’t send an email about terrorism after 911 is either a Islamic terrorist or they work for the WP/NYT
Go Compost! Expose Jebbie’s ass!
It's housed on "Bush's server". lol
It's none of the public's business.
Well, people in authoritative positions have used private back-channel communications for years. Apparently email is filling that niche, but should not, inasmuch as it is effectively pretty much “in the clear” and recoverable. It’s just not secure. IMHO
Was it from a server he had installed in his own home?
Did he consider it to be his personal property?
Did he deliberately set it up so he could delete any email he wished?
Did he tell the rest of the government to f- off when they asked about it?
Not really the same thing then, is it?
Just as I thought they all have servers at home to avoid scrutiny.
B.F.D.
Liberals attacking the person they want to be our candidate. Go for it guys.
If Jeb Bush had Email from George back in the day detailing the operations in Iran and Iraq that were beyond general already known information you might have problems, but I doubt that ever happened.
I don’t like Jeb at all, but you are right....not the same thing at all.
I understand, but what about the hacker vulnerability issue?
1. Media discredits themselves via, “others did it, too!” argument
2. Jeb burns to the waterline and sinks
NICE! I really hope they keep this up..!
Topper - Wash my car, bring beer.
I can hope, right?
Just wait till the dig up George Washington's emails!
We’ll never know what Hillary’s emails said. They were erased
OK—he shouldn’t be president! same with Hillary! Lets find people who follow the rules for a change!
“troop deployments”?
How would he be privy to that?
