Bishop Talbert Swan II, pastor of the Spring of Hope Church Of God In Christ and president of the Greater Springfield chapter of the NAACP, said the report does not reveal anything new for the African American community.

Swan said he wrote a letter to Mayor Domenic J. Sarno in the wake of the Ferguson incident last year requesting that a commission be formed to look at what elements created the racial tension in Ferguson and to come up with proactive ways to prevent that here.
On Aug. 21, 2014 Sarno responded to Swan's letter citing the work of the mayor's Violence Prevention Task Force, the C3 Policing method being used to build trust between police and residents in the North End and other initiatives.
"Communication and engagement between the community and law enforcement is vital to build a foundation of mutual trust and respect," the mayor wrote, and he continues to stand by the statement to this day.
"I still feel his response was basically to dismiss my request and talk about all the things he is doing to curb gang violence, which missed the mark completely. My concern is what elements exist that create racial tension between law enforcement and community and municipal government and the community, and they are not willing to have that conversation," he said. "My hope is that it does not take a blowup like Ferguson before we really sit down and have a candid conversation about how to deal with racial tension in our city."

It’s a great question for the “no progress” crowd. Everything they say they want very quickly boils down to “give me some more money”, and no amount will ever be enough.
If you look at the interracial crime rates, you’ll see just who is trying to oppress who, and it isn’t whites trying to oppress blacks.
Say, WHAT???
One way to reduce tensions with the police: stop committing crimes.
No question about it, but blacks and liberals will either say that the statistics are biased, or blame it all on racism. Ask them if it’s so bad that the races need to be separated. Stand back, as heads could explode. They can either agree, which means they favor segregation, disagree, which means they have to admit to progress, or admit to wanting genocide (some do, even whites).
They have to admit progress, and then you have them. They have contradicted themselves, so they will say it’s only SOME progress, but not enough, because racism still exists. If there’s been some progress, then how come blacks are committing all of these crimes? Hit them with the stats. If they say the stats are racist, then say if it’s so bad that whitey is making up stats, maybe it’s hopeless, and the races should separate to keep whites from oppressing blacks. Rinse and repeat. All they really want is more money.
The result will be a white liberal sputtering, and a black agreeing with segregation.
I think the great majority of whites are suffering from that. Even the ones like myself who were strong proponents of all the civil rights laws of the sixties. The narrative at the time from civil rights leaders and most libs was: you whites are all racists, but all the new civil right bills will cure racism and make good Americans out of you. Of course to the race hustlers good American meant good liberal.
Now fifty years later most of the young people, like myself, who supported all the crs legislation believing it would lead to a much better country devoid of racial strife are much older and quite tired of the constant drama.
Fifty years of affirmative discrimination er action, massive black crime hushed up or dismissed, a black man elected president, and what is the word from the usual suspects?: you white people are all racists...evil whitey still has his boots pressed on the necks of black Americans. I give up.
No figment. It is what you want so you can keep demanding more and more special privileges and more and more freebees.
You have to understand that many blacks believe most whites were just given things. I've read more than a few articles on black websites or lib forums where many of the posters expressed that sentiment. They didn't think whites were very smart, so how did they, whites, get all those high paying, easy jobs?
Simple answer (for the simple-minded), whites were given those easy, high-paying jobs by other whites. Blacks were/are excluded because most whites are evil racists who never give a black man (or woman) a chance.
That ties in with the belief of many blacks that wealth simply exists (i.e. Obama's stash). Evil whitey got to the magic money mountain before other groups, and evil whitey won't share that wealth. It's also the belief in the zero-sum theory (the pie that never expands) where some people (whites) only benefit by stealing the wealth of others....mostly blacks and other minorities.
I’m willing to concede that racial prejudice might account for a small percentage of the racial disparity in crime and sentencing statistics, but the main reason for those disparities is that a higher percentage of blacks commit crimes.

But blacks would never want segregation either unless whites turned over all our wealth and the means of production to them, and then it would be squandered, and both groups could be equally poor. For one example, see South Africa. Too many seem to think that God On High sent down a golden rain of money and goods, and no white person ever worked or even died for the civilisation white males built.

Exactly. All those white men who died digging in coal mines, exploring the seven seas, etc, are just dismissed.
Same with some feminazis-a good point has been made that you never see the feminazis protesting for their equal rights to be garbage collectors or sewer workers.
