There are a few very broad brushes here. Believe it or not, there are Conservative Jews as well.

In Tucson, one of our morning conservative hosts, Garrett Lewis is Jewish, a terrific Sunday interview host, Charles Heller is Jewish, the head of our Republican party is Jewish, my former representative is Jewish, the rabbi of of the Oro Valley Chabad reads Dennis Prager, and my conservative/ libertarian husband is Jewish, and he raised two conservative girls and converted his ex-wife and in-laws into conservatives. His father was registered Democrat, but never voted for one.
There were lots of interesting theories on this post. Will save for further discussion with my husband.
I agree with you, there are many conservative Jews. Even though I disagree with Shapiro in a few points (his irritation of Palin for one); I still consider him a conservative; don't you?
Also, as in my first post, you could replace the word Jew for anyone who adheres to a socialistic philosophy to what Shapiro states in his YouTube presentation. This is what I tried to emphasize from the beginning, as you say (and do see myself), the broad brushes began to appear. I'm now kind of sorry that I posted Shapiro's presentation because of them.
