Good point. At some point you have too few for an operational capability. They have lots of great F-16s and apparently are acquiring some recon pods. It makes more sense to have a few brand new pods that all work the same instead of a mix of pods and some a few F-4s’
Lets just say they didn’t replace them at all. Just retired them. How would Turkey or the region really be any less safe? They are as much of a menace as they have ever been an ally. Zero sum game in my opinion.
They threaten Israel, support ISIS, spar with Greece, are more islamist by the day, and seriously hindered our invasion of Iraq.
Any Turkish jet is a potential menace.
