No Classified Emails by Clinton? Some Experts Are Skeptical
New York Times ^ | March 11, 2015 | SCOTT SHANE

WASHINGTON — Anyone who has tried to pry information from the federal government may have been surprised on Tuesday by Hillary Rodham Clinton’s assertion that in all her emails in four years as secretary of state she never strayed into the classified realm.

After all, a consensus of both Republicans and Democrats for many years has been that the government routinely overclassifies information, reflexively stamping “secret” on mountains of documents with marginally sensitive content.

snip A former senior State Department official who served before the Obama administration said that while it was hard to be certain, it seemed unlikely that classified information could be kept out of the more than 30,000 emails that Mrs. Clinton’s staff identified as involving government business.

“I would assume that more than 50 percent of what the secretary of state dealt with was classified,” said the former official, who would speak only on the condition of anonymity because he did not want to seem ungracious to Mrs. Clinton. “Was every single email of the secretary of state completely unclassified? Maybe, but it’s hard to imagine.”

???

I am not sure what this is even about because its illegal to use normal email for classified information, even with encryption.(pointing this out on CSPAN this morning)

In fact it would be illegal for her to have such info on her home computer or any phone.

So of course she says no.

RE :”well.... if Hillary wrote it on her server, wasn’t it by definition unclassified or no longer classified?
As boss, isn’t she the ultimate State Department arbiter of what is and is not Classified?”

I am with you on this, I don't understand what this line of argument is about.

Hillary Clinton: Private Email Server Was Set Up for Bill

“I’d be happy to have someone talk to you about the rules...

Well then, walk that poor unfortunate soul on out and have them fall on their sword for you. Have them focus on "the law", not the "rules" which are subject to change.

USC 44 or USC 36. Kind of hems one in.

Maybe they realize that everybody knows that you can have any number of email accounts on one phone and most everyone knows that the secretary of state deals in classified and secretive correspondence.

Killary’s strategy: Let’s get all this out in the open now. Then, this summer, say, when a reporter asks about it, we can claim this is “old, settled news.”

Not a bad strategy when you think about it.

IMHO, the problem is that this is just the tip of the iceberg.

WATCHING THE CLINTONS OPERATE IS A LESSON IN WHAT BEHAVIORAL SCIENTISTS CALL “NARCISSTIC IMMUNITY”-— They operate under the mantle of “narcisstic immunity”-—that they are so good, so tolerant, so much more compassionate than us peons, that they can even operate above the law-—nothing can touch them.
..........................

How many times did she repeat “I went above and beyond” in an “unprecedented” manner, like she was “going the extra mile” to do us peons a huge, undeserved favor?

You have to realize the NYTimes Hillary push-back is White House approved.

What we're seeing is a whole new round of Obama vs Clinton.

Ed Kline has already documented Obama & Valerie's support for the Indian Princess.

Seriously, when Big Mama rolled onto the stage to terminate what was turning into a debacle, it reminded me of a nurse helping a rambling out of control mental patient to her room.

Liz, I was visiting a nursing home one time and sadly, this little old lady came up to me, just in a tizzy, fuming and barking orders. A nurse came up and gently led her away, explaining that she used to be a corporate executive and she still thinks she is in the workplace. I am not kidding, this is exactly what I thought when I saw the presser yesterday. Hillary is a “used-to-be” and any power she has was further diminished by that ending scene.

Interesting that the ip address for the server wasn't at her home but somewhere in New York City. Whats up with that?

The IP address for her home is probably part of a pool of IP addresses assigned to an internet service provider. When you look up the location of the IP address, you find the location of the ISP, not the physical location where the IP address is being used.

Look up your own public IP address and then look up the location associated with the address. Unless you have your own IP address space assigned to you, the location will be for your ISP.

I think he has thrown her far from the bus. And yesterday was Hillary tryng to say, But the american people love me, they will understand me, they will vote for me. And they are starting to fall away from her. If this doesn’t back her off from running, obama has more.

Popcorn time. Come on, you two, don’t throw mud....

Interesting that it pinpointed a government office. Maybe the ip address was part of a pool that was assigned (as you mention).

I work for a school district, and our address pool is part of a pool assigned to the county office of education. If you were to look up our public IP address, you would get the address of their office, which is about 15 miles from our address.
