Later, some jerk at UC Irvine got a Nobel Prize for claiming that refrigerant R-12, upon release into the air went up to eventually destroy the ozone layer.
The facts about R-12 are ... upon release, it's heavier than air and sinks like a rock. The refrigeration teacher happened to be a shipyard worker, and he revealed to us the critical fact that released R-12 would fill up a ship's hull ... push out the air ... and KILL humans that went into an R-12 contaminated hull.

I am not a young man. I am not an old man. 40. But some of my earliest memories are being told the earth is doomed and we are dooming it. Global cooling, the new ice age, hair spray, ozone, deforestation, styrafoam, globam warming... I could go on for pages of all the scares I have heard and survived. Now, it’s catastrophic climate disruption. It’s not even climate change any more. It’s not alarmist enough.
Hopefully someday these poor indoctrinated kids realize what a hoax it all is and in 20 years will reflect on how many times they have been lied to over the years.

A simple test for anyone’s sincerity about man-made global warming: ask them on their views of immigration to the United States (or other Western developed countries).
Only about 20 percent of the immigrants to the United States in any year are from Western developed countries. The majority come from less developed countries. Each of the 80 percent comes from places where they have no, low, or a modest carbon footprint. They don’t come the US to “step gently on this Earth,” they come to live large. The majority of immigrants to the US will greatly increase their carbon footprint compared to their home country.
Even those from Mexico, not a poor country by World standards, just poorer than its neighbor, will increase their carbon footprint by three to four times. For many of the other sending countries the multiple is even larger.
If the global warmist does not want to talk of such things they are probably not sincere or at least have not thought about it deeply.
