The left has always used children to try and push their agenda.

I think it would be funny to ask these high school kids which scientist or scientific paper has had the biggest influence on their beliefs. I bet the only thing any of them could come up with is Algore, or maybe the name of the propagandist masquerading as a teacher.
Remind everyone that the same cabal of nut jobs were hollering global cooling new ice age in the Seventies.

1. Causation and correlation.
2. Between testable scientific hypothesis and political agenda.

Later, some jerk at UC Irvine got a Nobel Prize for claiming that refrigerant R-12, upon release into the air went up to eventually destroy the ozone layer.
The facts about R-12 are ... upon release, it's heavier than air and sinks like a rock. The refrigeration teacher happened to be a shipyard worker, and he revealed to us the critical fact that released R-12 would fill up a ship's hull ... push out the air ... and KILL humans that went into an R-12 contaminated hull.
True story. Pass it along.
From personal experience I can tell you just how quickly teenagers will abandon their belief in Global Warming when handed a snow shovel and told to go clear the driveway of 8-10” of the stuff. Afterwhich the WiFi will be turned back on.

The more likely reason is that DuPont’s patent was about to expire on Freon and they donated enough money to have the open-source refrigerant replaced by their newer, freshly patented alternate.
I am not a young man. I am not an old man. 40. But some of my earliest memories are being told the earth is doomed and we are dooming it. Global cooling, the new ice age, hair spray, ozone, deforestation, styrafoam, globam warming... I could go on for pages of all the scares I have heard and survived. Now, it’s catastrophic climate disruption. It’s not even climate change any more. It’s not alarmist enough.
Hopefully someday these poor indoctrinated kids realize what a hoax it all is and in 20 years will reflect on how many times they have been lied to over the years.
Yes I take advice on global warming on public high school students....
