Property taxes need to be made unconstitutional. No one can ever own property in a jurisdiction where the government can evict you if you don’t pay your rent to them.

The East/West Berlin comparison is interesting. Having actually seen that, I can form a picture in my mind of what was described. Since it’s still the USA, I doubt it’s quite that stark but it does come down to economic activity and having the capital to invest. It’s really an illegal taking of a property interest by Cuomo.

Allow Southern New Your(home of Neu Yuk Shity) to secede. Just make sure it secedes from both Northern New York and the USA. As a “Separate Nation” is can be attacked and defeated, and its collectivism infected population can be ‘directly reduced’.

Property taxes, and restrictions on what we could do with property we “owned” were significant factors in our departure from NYS 3 years ago. We had signed a lease agreement with a natural gas exploration company, and were hoping to realize some financial gain from that arrangement. It was obvious it was a joke. All it ended up being was an encumbrance that made selling the land more difficult. While interesting, the obstacles to secession are formidable. I wish I could be more optimistic about my former home state, but in my opinion it is irrevocably lost.
