I successfully dodged the draft.

And you're proud of that?

I have a feeling the person who wrote he ‘successfully etc’ did it the same way I did.

I enlisted at 17, so in effect, I dodged the draft.

Clinton had referred to us that VOLUNTARILY ENLISTED as ‘draft dodgers’ ...

Depends on what is is.

No, he successfully dodged the draft by enlisting in the Army. If I recall correctly, he served in Nam.

I did the same. When I was drafted, I signed up. Still ended up in Nam as well.

Being an old Army vet, you know what ASA stands for.

ASA Vet beat the draft the way many of us did. I beat it by about 3.5 years by enlisting in the Navy.

Thanks for your service and ASA’s service and all of our vets who enlisted or got drafted.
