Biden: Denying Climate Change ‘Almost Like Denying Gravity’

Vice President Joe Biden slammed those who question climate change, saying that ignoring the scientific evidence is “almost like denying gravity now.”
“I think it’s close to mindless,” Mr. Biden said in a preview clip for the upcoming season of HBO’s Vice.
The vice president pointed specifically to 2012’s Hurricane Sandy as an example of how climate change is making the world’s weather patterns more severe.
“All of a sudden people who were saying it couldn’t happen; they’re now knowing they have to plan for another one of these storms, and another and another and another,” Mr. Biden said, Mediaite reported Friday.
He also pointed to Wall Street financial institutions that are starting to plan and make investments based on the effects of climate change.
“When the financial institutions begin to price in the cost of carbon for cost of doing business, you know it’s reality,” Mr. Biden said.
According to NASA, atmospheric data for the past 650,000 years shows that the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has never been higher than 300 parts per million — until 1950. Now, in 2014, the level is estimated to be at 400 parts per million.

Sorry but that site, “skeptical” science, is complete crap. In fact the say your point (CO2 being a tiny percentage of CO2) is a “myth”. Do not go there or link there any more, it will rot your brain.

They are correct that it is a myth but their argument (and most other stuff on that site) is one-sided propaganda. It is not a "science" site by any stretch, it is a paid site to push the catastrophic warming myth.

You are right. They tried glow bull cooling back in the 70s and that didn’t stick. The weather changed. They then tried glowbull warming and when that didn’t work out, it became climate change. The sheep are going right along with the (un)settled science.
I’m pretty sure that’s the only reason he was picked as VP...

Well, Joe, Say it Ain’t So! We’re obviously not tropical and growing massive alagae all over the Arctic Ocean like we were 50+ million years ago, so yes, climate did change. You know, we’re also not seeing giant skyscraper trees or giant mosquitoes everyday either, thanks to having less CO2 than dinosaurs did. Any other details I missed? Oh yeah, how exactly is the climate going to be in all numbers 20 years from now. It would have been good if Joe and the IPCC had a better number set than the Farmer’s Almanac did. And I think Elsa the ice queen is at large now...

Note the "fudge factor" in the experiment:
"Figure 1: A freshwater ice cube floats in a beaker of concentrated saltwater. Note that the ice cube floats much higher in the saltwater than it would in a glass of freshwater because saltwater has a greater density."
The saltwater in that beaker is, apparently, a saturated solution of salt. (Note how absurdly high the ice floats.)
Sea water is far less concentrated with salt than that demo sample, (and, thus, much less dense). The density difference between freshwater ice and sea water is tiny -- almost negligible... (Remember: the vast bulk of an icberg is, notoriously, below the surface -- hence the term, "the tip of the iceberg"...)
That demo is the sort of quacktrickery that is typical of the "Climate Change Religionists".
