Oh, I think they understand, they just don’t care or may even have disdain for the handicapped. People that abuse the privilege of handicapped parking insult everyone that lives with a disability.

That’s a shame however it’s more evidence indicative of the moral decay that is the real root cause of our countries troubles.
I am not sure of the answers but parenting plays a large part and we most certainly have a crisis of parenting, cranking out generation after generation of gibmedats. Even parents that properly instruct their children to become good citizens must overcome the mixed messages from the institutions we entrust to educate them.... sigh.

I saw this in NW Alabama, in 1948-49. My aunt was married to a POS, who would drink too much and then beat her and their two daughters. After a visit my Dad and his 5 brothers he became an every Sunday church-goer and stayed off the booze.
