As things stand now, I have both a wood house and soft body armor that wouldn't hold up to "standard" rifle rounds—much less armor-piercing. I do have enough sheet metal to install inside to prevent wood spalling injuries. Other access to my wooden house (which could be burned) is blocked by a very tenacious and spine-edged vine.

My original objection was that 223 would become widespread even through light Republican attrition, and non-interchangeable calibers would keep Democrats relatively unarmed.

A police officer was shot and killed years ago while wearing body armor. ("Blunt trauma") The caliber? 45-70, originally made for black powder propellant in 1873.
