The Omaha World-Herald reported Thursday that the prank device exploded when staff opened a package delivered to Fortenberrys Lincoln office. Glitter bombs explode in showers of tiny, sparkling confetti that are difficult to clean up.
You can certainly disagree with your member of Congress or any member of Congress, but this is pretty reckless and irresponsible, said Jennifer Allen, a spokeswoman for Fortenberry. Its just a huge waste of everybodys time and resources.
Allen said the trick seemed motivated by Fortenberrys stance on abortion. A note accompanying the package criticized his pro-life beliefs, she added.
Congrats, youve earned this for denying women their right to choice, the note read. Mind your own uterus.

I agree. I say bring back the old tried and true methods.
Conservatives don’t do this kind of stupid s**t.
Basically a terrorist attack — the intent is to intimidate.
The message is subtle but unmistakable — “next time it wont be glitter but instead something harmful”
“Conservatives dont do this kind of stupid s**t.”
Perhaps we should.

“Caller of the day! You’re today’s Winnuh!”
“Bob, please tell our contestant what they’ve won...”
“Well, an all expenses paid vacation to a beautiful gated facility, with full meals and exercise treatments of your choice, all day long!”
“This fabulous resort is well guarded to keep unwanted visitors from disturbing your sleep. You’ll be well rested and comforted knowing that our secure facility is well known for keeping a safe perimeter around visitors”
“But, that’s not all! You’ll receive free medical and dental during your stay!”
“This fabulous staycation is good for 1-3 years and only available to the biggest Asshats in Murica”

Somebody needs to go to jail. Glitter can really mess people’s eyes up if it gets in them.
I thought after 9-11 and the anthrax episodes that all congressional mail was opened elsewhere. Just wonderin’.
Back during the 2004 election cycle I was having a discussion with two co-workers regarding behavior of the left versus the right. There had been a number of news articles about people putting Kerry stickers on cars that had already had stickers supporting Bush. I said, “You just don’t see conservatives doing that kind of thing.” And the other woman that I was talking with agreed with me. But the man said, no, liberals aren’t the only ones that do that kind of thing. The woman and I were disagreeing with him when the other woman’s husband walked up and told us about how he had just slapped a Bush bumper sticker onto a car that he walked by that was parked illegally and had Kerry stickers on it.
All jokes aside mailing an explosive device to a member of Congress seems quite serious to me regardless of it’s subsequent impact.

Let’s not water down the term “terrorist attack”. It’s a prank and it’s more or less harmless.
anyone else remember Glitter Rock from the Electra Woman and Dyna Girl show?

I’m sure the Media will be demanding Democrats denounce this violent act, right????
the postman was heard muttering something that sounded like...”allihu glitterbar” into his beard

It’s not an explosive device. It uses a spring like in a “Jack in the Box”.
Haaahaaaahaaaaa.....I couldn’t agree more.

Gotcha. Thanks for the explanation
Homos do.
Find who sent it and make them eat the glitter....no water.
