I hear you, but it's hard to go after a sitting Congressman who has the protection of the privileged from arrest clause. The privelege does not extend to breach of the peace, treason, or felonies. I don't recall whether illegally obtaining IRS information is a felony, but Patreaus just plead guilty to misdemeanor trafficking in top CIA secrets. It would be hard to call IRS data trafficking felonious after that.
So what's left, practically speaking?
