If the WP has to run to Boneheads rescue, you know the numbers are going to grow.
WHAT BATTLES? We are always told to go along so that we can fight the "next" battle. We were told to that we needed to increase the debt limit so that we could fight the budget battle. Then we were told that we needed to pass the budget so that we could fight Obama's executive amnesty battle. Then we were told that we had to fold on amnesty because we cannot win. We are always prepared to fight the "next" battle. We need to fight NOW!

The amnesty cake was baked back during the cromnibus fight. They chose to fight “later”.
Then, they chose to attach the amnesty funding to a part of the gov’t that would give dems maximum political strength, DHS.
Then McConnell chose not to use a 51 vote majority to make 0bama veto. Reid would have....
Then a conference committee was rejected, opening the door to the vote on a “clean” dhs bill.
Next, a fed judge will use the fact that the whole dept is funded as ammo to shoot down the 26 state lawsuit.
It was all planned by our GOP-E.
He is gutless, agrees with soetoro's agenda, is being blackmailed or sold his soul for 30 pieces of silver.
As the unified Republican majority looks to the next big legislative battles over the debt ceiling, the federal budget and the Export-Import Bank, the Freedom Caucus may be the best illustration of how intra-party discord could dramatically slow the pace of business in this Congress and likely bring it to a complete halt.HUH?

I know he said that about immigration which he has so far kept.
Clearly after the last four years there is no expectation of that wrt to budgets and debt ceilings, he is obviously going to continue to get Dem votes to avoid shutdowns that he would once again be blamed for.
Maybe one of those ~ 50 conservatives in the house should have made the (serious) case why they should be Speaker rather than Boehner. They all should have expected this with DHS
They might vote the right way, but they sure as hell don’t SELL the right way.
Its easy for them to vote NO for a budget when they know that Boehner will get the votes to avoid a shutdown regardless.
They get to tell their district voters that they voted for principle and the government keeps working, well maybe not today, another big snowstorm hit the area.
