GOP Fiddles While We Sink Into Tyranny (Surrender Monkeys Part II)

t week’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). He’s too busy with his day job as Minority Leader of the United States Senate.

What, you thought that with Republicans taking that chamber in January following the historic November election that Mr. McConnell is Majority Leader?

No, that would be Harry Reid, the once and former Democratic Majority Leader, who obviously still calls the shots in the World’s Greatest Deliberative Body.

There’s no other way to explain the Republican-dominated Senate’s 68-31 vote passage of a bill funding the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) without addressing President Obama’s illegal granting of amnesty to five million illegal aliens. Faced with the usual Democratic threat to “shut down” the agency and blame it on Republicans, Mr. McConnell tried several times to get the House bill past a Democrat filibuster, but then blinked, promising to deal with amnesty on a separate bill that has no leverage because it’s not part of a must-pass budget bill.

On Feb. 27, House Speaker John Boehner’s three-week “stopgap” DHS funding bill gave way to a one-week extension to give the GOP Senate leadership time to locate their spine.

As you can tell from my second post on this topic, I am really pissed off at the GOPe liars - using the American conservative voting base to keep themselves in DC. Liars and cheats....and surrender monkeys is not what I voted for! Republicans need to get rid of Mitch the Majority surrender monkey (who rein-freakin' stated the filibuster rules) and perpetually spineless Bohehead.

It's hard to say what things would be like now but I'm guessing ‘different’ had McConnell and Boehner not won their last elections.

List of grievances...

He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation and tyranny…

He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers…

February 2015 grievances...

Obama’s unilateral action to regularize millions of illegal aliens continued to stir controversy, with a federal judge temporarily halting it and Congressional Republicans taking half-hearted, uncertain steps to try to defund it. Articles I and II of the Constitution hang in the balance, since control over immigration policy comes right from Congress’s enumerated powers and this is hardly something that justifies a Lockean-type of executive prerogative. It was also revealed that as a result of Obama’s amnesty, illegal immigrants would be eligible to receive the earned income tax credit (even retroactively). The problem is that under Article I Congress makes the tax laws.

The ruling elites. Different sides of the same oligarchy.

Rules for Changing a Republic into an Oligarchy…

5. For this purpose it will be particular useful to confound a mobbish democracy with a representative republic, that by exhibiting all the turbulent examples and enormities of the former, an odium may be thrown on the character of the latter. Review all the civil contests, convulsions, factions, broils, squabbles, bickering, black eyes, and bloody noses of ancient, middle, and modern ages; caricature them into the most frightful forms and colors that can be imagined, and unfold one scene of horrible tragedy after another till the people be made, if possible, to tremble at their own shadows.

10. Divide and govern. It is only necessary, therefore, to recommend that full use be made of the resource; and to remark that, besides the direct benefit to be drawn from these artificial divisions, they will tend to smother the true and natural one, existing in all societies, between the few who are always impatient of political equality and the many who can never rise above it; between those who are to mount to the prerogatives and those who are to be saddled with the burdens of the hereditary government to be introduced - in one word, between the general mass of the people, attached to their republican government and republican interests, and the chosen band devoted to monarchy and Mammon. It is of infinite importance that this distinction should be kept out of sight. The success of the project absolutely requires it.

11. As soon as sufficient progress in the intended change shall have been made, and the public mind duly prepared according to the rules already laid down, it will be proper to venture on another and a bolder step toward a removal of the constitutional landmarks.

Hate to say it, but the game is just about over.

Obamacare will be upheld. 10 to 30 million new Democrat voters will be minted out of amnesty. The Dems will use the email flap to ditch Hillary and win with a much more progressive populist. We aren’t going back to the Reagan Way until we exhaust all of the alternatives. Which I don’t think will be within my lifetime. (the USSR kind of proved that the half-life of Communism is about 70 years.)
