Ninth and First Armies have advanced to a lot of very recognizable big city place names in the Ruhr. The absence of the now familiar arrows in the Western Front maps seems to indicate an absence of intelligence as to just what is going on. Patton is about to announce his presence very loudly.

Despite the disintegration of their forces, the Germans still have a decent grasp of lineup of the Allied divisions facing them. It will be interesting to see if that information becomes more inaccurate or starts to disappear.

I still wish we had the more detailed maps like we did in Normandy or that are done for Army Group Vistula. But maybe the Fuhrer doesn’t want to see the unpleasant details.
