Meanwhile, Republican leaders newly in control of both chambers have vowed to avoid another politically damaging government shutdown — which means finding common ground with Obama on agency appropriations before the new fiscal year begins Oct. 1.

This is old, but I think it is very appropriate today, after the Republican surrender on amnesty. I think we can safely say, this is the budget Obama will sign at the end of the year.

The republicans need to just pack their bags and go home they are useless and irrelevant to the country. Fire them and save the money.

... and start a real alternative party. There’s things about our system that I like relative to the Euro-style parliamentary system, but a big flaw is that we need an entry mechanism for new blood. The parliamentary systems do it through no-confidence votes, new elections, and governing coalitions. It is governing coalitions which allow new parties (sometimes admittedly extreme) to establish themselves and grow. Here, the only choice for a politician who is oriented to change is to somehow take control of one of the two major parties—a very difficult task (although the Dem conspirators have pulled it off).

Bastards, tell me why it was so important to give you a republican senate again?

The “Fiscal Year beginning Oct. 1” is a joke. A fiscal year only matters if you have an actual budget and accounting for revenue and expenditures. None of those things apply to our government, where the bureaucracy burns money in a barrel and the Congress just keeps shoveling it in when it looks like the fire might go out.

"LEVERAGE" - What? You mean besides having Big Orange Boehner and The Turtle McConnell in his hip pocket?

The only compromise with Obama is to do it his way. If not then the Democrats will block it just like they have done with the amnesty/DHS mess. I don’t know why the Republicans even show up other than to be made fools by Democrats.

This has certainly been his domestic policy. Foreign policy, not so much. There, he seems to be the one that caves on every major issue affecting vital American interests. All of which tells me that he is not a fool when it comes to foreign policy (he left that job to Clinton and now to Kerry).

This tells me that his destruction of American international interests is deliberate and with malice. He does not love this country; he hates it.

What then does that tell you about the people who got him elected in the media/entertainment/academia propaganda complex? They hate America, too, and 0bama is a kindred spirit. When they lash out at him, it's only because he's not destroying our country fast enough.

I don’t see how it could be any worse. If we had a Conservative / Constitution Party that stood firm on principle they would actually have more power than the gutless, spineless squishes of the GOPe.

Ours is similar for the purposes of determining majority/minority leaders. The Dems usually have a +2 because the independents caucus with the Dems.

I would certainly have to agree with everything you said. I might add that the only thing the entertainment industry is interested in is money and to be adored by the same ones that voted Obama into office.
