I’ve seen this movie. I’ve read the book. I know how it ends.
Here’s the script for each and every news report:
First story: New reporter saying that the mean, evil, and nasty republicans continue to pass senseless funding bills that they know will be vetoed.
Second story: News reporter standing in front of White House saying that President Obama will veto the latest bill and wants to know why the republicans can’t just pass a clean bill so the hardworking, dedicated, DHS employees, who continue to do their work protecting the country, can get paid for their work defending America from terrorists.
Third Story. Another reporter interviews a DHS employee who has been protecting all of us from terrorists without being paid for 12 weeks. Employee says it’s really tough, he can’t get unemployment benefits since he still technically has a job. Relying upon neighbors and local churches for food. He’s collecting aluminum cans he can sell so he can buy gasoline to get to work defending America. Just wants to know why the republicans can’t just pass a clean bill so a hardworking, dedicated, DHS employee, can continue to do his work protecting the country, and get paid for his work defending America from terrorists.
Fourth story. Reporter interviews employees wife who recounts serving dog biscuits at daughters birthday party but is so proud of her hard working dedicated DHS husband who only wants to do his job and wonders why won’t the mean evil republicans pass a clean bill why the republicans can’t just pass a clean bill so the hardworking, dedicated, DHS employees, who continue to do their work protecting the country, can get paid for their work defending America from terrorists.
After a week of this, you’ll be marching on Washington demanding the republicans pass a clean bill so the hardworking, dedicated, DHS employees, who continue to do their work protecting the country, can get paid for their work.
We all know the GOP will never get an even break from the MSM. So what to do? Nothing? OK then that’s what they are doing.
If the GOP congress wants to slow BHO down then they will have to suspend the filibuster and start passing legislation and sending it to Obama’s desk. Right now they are just caving to every Dem demand. Making a President veto bill after bill after bill is a very different deal. He will start to look bad pretty quickly. Even the MSM will not be able to totally cover his butt.
Right now Barack Obama is running wild and unless he is curtailed by congress he will not stop.
IMO the Congress will continue to do nothing, squander their majority and lose the Senate back in 2016 and possibly the Whitehouse too.
