Which party will you be voting for, is it one that you have supported in the past?

Depends on a couple things. I'll vote for Gary Johnson if he runs on the libertarian ticket, although I'll be looking closely at independents and Constitution parties as well.

I voted straight Republican through 2004 (I'm sure there are posts from me regarding the many rallies I organized in support of W's 2000 win and subsequent recount fiasco here on FR), and I ran for State office in NM in 2000 (On the GOP ticket, and whose state party said I wouldn't get more than 5% of the vote, so they wouldn't support my candidacy - I lost with 31% of the vote), but started looking into other parties post 2006, after the R's lost the House and Senate after having all 3 houses for 6 years, and giving us the "Patriot" act and Medicare Part D, along with the beginning of the bailout/too big to fail policy that obola has continued.

I voted for 2 R candidates this last election - Bob Beuprez for Governor (he lost because he did not have the balls to stand up and paint Hickenlooper as the extremist he is) and Cory Gardner, who won his race for US Senate against the Dimocrat incumbent, and then promptly (on election night, no less) made it entirely clear that impeachment and government shutdown were off the table. It was that very moment that I decided, never again.

The GOP has slowly been moving left for decades. Millions like me have fought long and hard to keep it from happening, but we keeping getting the big FU after they get elected. No more. I will not take any further abuse from the GOP, despite the candidate. If you think somehow you are going to change the party from within, trust me, you won't. The GOP will continue to move left, and have proven this over and over and over and over and over again. I question how many times it takes for voters to get effed in the a before they realize it's far too painful, and the voter can stop it.

Judging from the # of GOPRINO lovers even right here on FR, I'd say there are far too many closet homos in the GOP. That's the only conclusion I can come to as to why we would continue to support the party that continues to screw us. I won't have anything to do with it any longer.

The funniest part? I had this crazy libertarian friend back in 2000, and he was telling me all the things I'm saying today, and all I did was counter him every single time. No, it'll be different if we can just take the House...it'll change if we can just get the Senate...OK, now we need the WH...

And here we are again...
