“Why? If a not non com did the same thing he would be in Leavenworth.”

Paula Broadwell was a commissioned Army Officer with a Top Secret Clearance. Wartime commanding Generals are authorized to provide such access at their discretion. They are nailing him on adultery and trivial issues regarding information security.

I wonder if they are clearing the decks now, so they can reinstate his security clearance, so that he can get back to work in some capacity - because that whole place is fixing to blow up big time.

“George Patton got into a personally worse mess that did not get him prosecuted when he committed adultery and incest with his niece.”

Patton was killed in an auto accident in Dec 1945. Not sure the idea that he “may” have done something with his niece even came out until after his death. I suspect dealing with his wife would have been more of a problem if that had been public before his death.

Yes. Any other soldier would have been punished severely. I would guess his mistress will/would not receive any punishment.
