It’s stories like this that turn life long democrats into republicans or conservative independents. As a poster above said, the republicans should be getting a lot more mileage out of this issue than they seem to be.

We are seniors, still pay income taxes on SS and Navy pension income plus his IRA mandatory withdrawal. We will be lucky to even meet the 10% medical deductible even though I had to buy $350 glasses, his lenses were just $150 as they are just single vision plastic. $3400 hearing aids and all our co-pays and mileage to the doctors. Much less my several hospital stays last year.
And these freeloaders get free money out of MY POCKET?
Agree 100%, I just don’t know why the Republicans are not using this and other things this administration is doing to support illegal aliens to their advantage.

Because the GOPe is a mixture of the compromised and collaborators. It has become a Potemkin Village opposition party that is vested in much of what Obama wants to do.
I worked for a State Agency that didn’t give a hang about who siphoned off money from them either and said so.
Just wait until The Won deems them refugees and gives the refugee status....
If the IRS lunatic and his gang think this is such a good idea, WHY DON’T THEY PAY FOR IT OUT OF THEIR OWN “BONUSES”? Don’t they care about the poor illegal aliens infesting our country like lice?

$3400 hearing aids
If the hearing loss was incurred while on active duty the hearing aids should be coming from the VA at no charge. I’ve got a significant hearing loss and have hearing aids the Army gave me and I get free batteries for life along with service on the hearing aids.

I do know. At the end of the day the Republicans are chasing the same big donors that the Democrats are; donors who want more cheap labor, government subsidized health insurance (get those pesky health costs off the books) and more centralized government control of everything. After all, rent-seeking is much easier when there’s only one place the bribes have to go to.
Pretending to be a “conservative” during election time is one of the best paying acting gigs out there.
