To: 21twelve; Jim from C-Town

There is a tale of 16 tons of gold hidden in the northwest corner of New Mexico- san Juan county. Interesting tale. I drove up on one if the possible locations. Quite possible it is still hidden somewhere in the four corners. I mention it if you would like to read up on it on the Internet.

Thanks. There was a FR thread awhile ago about a guy that loved to explore and would buy antiques and stuff. He might have done some treasure hunting as well. He is rich now. To promote people getting off their butts and go exploring he buried a bunch of his valuable stuff. Then put up a poem/riddle as clues to get you to his buried treasure. I spent a couple of evenings on google, google earth, etc.

I’m pretty sure I know where it is - now just need to make the trip. (It’s “near a house named brown” - so that MUST mean the famous creek with brown trout in it. Right!?”

There's also a tale about thousands of tons of gold supposedly held by the Fed in NYC for Germany. Ludicrous tale.
