It was rough there when I moved to Tx.
Guys busting pool ques on each others heads.
Now we have women and childrens, smiles games and food.
Much better.

In July of 1968, I took a ferry ride from San Diego and ended up on North Island. The ferry ride was, far and away, the best part of the following three weeks of SERE school. After that, and for all the life that has followed, I’ve always said to myself, I can get thru this (whatever it is) because I got thru SERE.

Don’t know that he is a gun guy.
Bought some offroad desert stuff from him.
He did not dirt bike but did dune biggies for while.
He is seriously one of the greatest American heros ever.
I think he holds the distinction of serving more time under the sea than anyone in the USN.
