A majority of young Republican voters support legalizing marijuana, even as older GOP members still believe it would be a danger to society, according to a new study.
The Pew Research Center found in a recent study that nearly two-thirds of Republican millennials, 63 percent, believe pot should be legalized. Millennials include those born since 1981.

But then of course inevitably, the race card will be played since so many in da hood use, they will say it’s “racist” to not hire users, because blacks will be impacted more than other groups.
“Legalization for adults is the better plan; for decades kids have been reporting that they can get pot more easily than cigarettes or beer ... because sellers of illegal products never card for age whereas sellers of legal products usually do (in order to protect their legal access to the adult market).”
Unless an adult buys enough of it to sell it to kids at a profit. Limiting quantities to a weight/time period that allows for moderate personal use should squash a lot of that. From what I have read it has gotten much worse in the schools in Colorado. Someone is selling it to them. That is what I want to try to limit. I couldn’t care less what a grown man or woman does in his or her free time.
Private industry should have every right. Bottom line? If they want to exclude users, they should be able to and I will stand and fight to preserve private business owner's rights just as hard as I did to promote legalization. There are plenty of companies here in CO that refuse to hire users. I say, fine! I also believe they may be missing out on some good folks, but that is their right, and always should be.
First, I’m not a doper and don’t condone it.
People ought to fry if they peddle it to kids. 21 and over only. But people are going to smoke dope, period.
Yes companies can and will not allow it, just like being drunk on the job. The military won’t go for it, any company that employs people using their brain for anything other than figuring out change will not allow it.
I've worked in the information/software sector for 20 years and never been drug tested for a regular position.
Pot use hasn’t filled the prisons, so that is a left wing myth.

You are so correct.
People moan and groan about the WOD.
There is no WOD. Just smoke and mirrors by the States and Fedzilla to generate spending and income from both sides of the fence.
You want to see a real War on Drugs? Visit Singapore.
Correct. Surrendering in the WOD only serves to increase the stoned out masses that vote democratic.

The War on Drugs is over, we lost.
The media industries are solidly liberal, and they write their opinions into scripts and news broadcasts. As Goebbels said:
If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.
If we don't counter, take control of, or destroy the Liberal propaganda machine, we will never fix what is wrong with this country.
Ive heard the same thing. Wonder what the percentage of those imprisoned for drugs is for pot compared to other drugs.
This idea also overlooks the fact that a lot of "drug" charges are plea bargained reductions for more serious crimes.
"Reefer Madness" is turning out to be a documentary.
Police questioned suspect in Vegas 'road rage' murder while he was high on marijuana, defense lawyer say
Local resident Colorado Wright, who knew both the Meyers' three sons as well as Nowsch, said the latter was known for being mixed up in drugs - including 'weed, meth probably, molly, ecstasy'.'He was always dealing drugs,' Wright said. 'He had a moped at one time and he would go up and down the streets in this neighborhood selling to everybody.'
'He'd be walking down the street yelling out "I got weed" so loud and brazen about it'.
'Most definitely he'd have been under the influence of drugs on the night of the shooting'.
This is oft repeated, but people seldom bother to ponder what the world would look like in light of *NOT* having a war on drugs. Fortunately we have an example in history of what happens when a nation *DOESN'T* have a war on drugs.
I can safely say what we've got is not nearly as bad as what they got. If you think the war on drugs is bad, you ain't seen nothing yet.

And you don't think doing something illegal shows seriously bad judgement?
Additionally, MJ testing shows if a person used the drug in the last 30 to 45 days. This person is not High in any respect.
I think information regarding a potential employee's willingness to break the law just for kicks and giggles is very important information for an employer to know.
Being "high" is just one aspect of this. Being dumb enough to risk your freedom for a cheap thrill, is another. Being willing to deliberately break laws is another still.
If they are that dumb, and that criminally minded, what other dumb things might they do, and what other criminal/immoral things might they do also?
Sure, if you postulate that a gun is a toxic chemical that gets into your brain and tampers with your neurons. Yeah, then it would be exactly the same thing as a brain altering chemical.
Of course it's not, so your analogy is utter bullsh*t.
And you don't think doing something illegal shows seriously bad judgement?
I think enriching criminals shows seriously bad judgment.
And here is that statement again. I gotta hand it to the Libertarians, they have successfully brainwashed everyone into believing that "The War on Drugs is worse than the alternative."
That's utter crap, because the alternative is *FAR WORSE* than the war on drugs. The problem is, the alternative doesn't have an army of salesmen telling everybody how much worse it is than the war on drugs, but the "Legalize Drugs!" brigade is always spewing their propaganda.
No sir, the war on drugs is *NOT* worse than the alternative. You and others have just not accurately considered the alternative. For most people, it's a pie in the sky utopia where all the bad consequences of drug addiction go away, or at least, don't bother you.
It is "The Grass is always greener on the other side of the fence" argument, and it is most certainly not true. How do we know it's not true? Because this experiment has already been tried in the past, and it caused horrible results.
