I am absolutely certain that having established government (ie. political) control of the insurance market, cash-only or direct-pay clinics will eventually be banned. We will be told they are “too unregulated,” “too dangerous to people’s health.”
That’s what happened in England. Eventually private medical came back, but was strictly regulated.
