The American people would be much better off if Congress transferred the few constitutional functions performed by Homeland Security to other parts of the government and then shut down the rest of the department. I agree. Plus, TSA's effectiveness is a joke. Any attack on an airport these days isn't going through the front door. They'll wait in the parking lot, bonk a flight line worker on the head, take their security badge and just let themselves in with full reign of the tarmac. Compare that safety to the billions of dollars wasted by TSA, not to mention the cost of the delays to passengers. Stupid.

Stopped clock; right twice a day.
Any government agency more concerned with tracking the regime’s political opposition (that’s you and me, for the most part) than securing the borders SHOULD be shut down.

The shut down of any gov’t agency should be accompanied by the statement “All employees that are non-essential will not be reporting to work and will not be paid. In addition since they are non-essential they will be terminated.”

DHS is the domestic police force 0bama promised. It is nothing less than a Gestapo force that will be used to attack conservatives, vets, gun owners, Christians aka the real enemy of the Federal government.

DHS was a bad idea that should have never seen the light of day. Confirmation comes from many, many sources inside the agencies comprising the department.

Don’t shut him down; that’s too one-sided. Offer him in exchange for several of his mental counterparts on the left. Put them all in a locked room.
