Well, between this and all the new and upcoming NG fired power plants how long will it take for our home heating costs to go up 50-100%. Everybody has for years said we have a virtual unlimited supply of NG and that is just not the case.

Being an “awl” man from Texas I can appreciate the fact slightly higher prices are needed for NG drilling to continue but I fear the demand will outstrip the short term capacity to replace inventories.

The EIA estimates that the US has 87 years of natural-gas supply at current and projected rates consumption and discovery.

An acquaintance who works for AGL says the projected supply is more like 250 years.
