House Republican leaders and conservatives were in rare agreement Sunday, declaring that there was no deal to vote on a clean Department of Homeland Security funding bill and vowing to keep fighting President Obamas deportation amnesty.
Mr. Jordan, Ohio Republican, said his party must do a better job in rallying the American public against Mr. Obamas executive actions, which seek to grant legal status, work permits and Social Seuciryt numbers to more than 4 million illegal immigrations.

The last time I saw Congress stand fast together was when they were opposing the FBI searching Rep. William Jefferson’s office. Despite Congress being split on their motives, collectively they are giving up their authority.

But is there anyone with any doubt whatsoever that a clean bill is exactly what will be passed in the House by next Friday?

A clean bill would not include funding for a program that is illegal.
If the House takes the Senate bill and then adds riders, then sends it back to the Senate, the vote to pass is 51 rather than 60, right?
