There won't be a coup. Too many of these congressmen were promised inducements, including committee memberships, to vote for Boehner as speaker. They are more afraid of losing their perks than they are of the voters.

We need to threaten Obama. If Obama doesn’t do what American wants, we’ll dump Boehner!

Hey! Stop all the “rumbling” or murmuring about it. Just do it. And if you can’t pull it off, get back to work and work with what you’ve got. Stop the “whiny stuff” ... LOL ...

Does any one here really believe that John Boehner, or Mitch McConnell is running their fiefdom the way the people that elected them want them to? If you believe that, then I have a sea side property in Arizona that I’ll sell you, cheap. They got elected in their position with lies and subterfuge. It’s time for the real republican party to take their party back from these “ACCOMMODATING” republicans, whose only aim is to “COMPROMISE” with any one and every one.

Mitch and Boner lost when they funded the Obummer regime for the full year. They only had leverage when they could shut down the government.

That are KNOWN TO BE LIES and the Speaker nor any of his lackies on ANY COMMITTEE have done Nothing but cover it up, If you believe the bought and paid for Trey Gowdy will do anything heading a “Select Committee” will do anything substitive, I have a nice bridge in Long Beach for sale. If Boehner caves can assume ‘liberals’ have some serious dirt on him?

This is what, the third time Boehner has been challenged? How many will it take for him to just step down. His arrogance, like most “career politicians” is breathtaking.

We sorely need term limits. Article V. The term limits need to be implemented quickly. No 10 year phase in. Do it fast for our country’s sake.

Multiple reports that House Speaker John Boehner has cut a deal to pass a long-term funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security without ties to rolling back President Obama’s executive action on immigration has reignited rumblings about a Boehner coup.

Why are people surprised about this? Don't we all remember that Boehner tried like 5 times to cram amnesty through before getting slapped down by the base? He wants it, period. Executive amnesty means he gets to have his cake and eat it too because he gets amnesty without having to pass a bill.

He will fight like hell to get this through.

Should Boehner be fired?

(Snip)

Moreover, having this fight right now is pointless. A federal judge in Texas has temporarily blocked Obama from implementing his executive action. The conservative-leaning U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit is expected to hear the Obama administration’s appeal in the coming weeks. So the answer for congressional Republicans should be obvious: Pass a short-term funding bill and see whether the courts rescue them from their ill-fated DHS strategy.

Oh wait, that is precisely what House Speaker John Boehner tried to do. With a shutdown looming, Boehner put forward a bill to fund the agency for three weeks. This would have given the court time to act. It would have given the House and Senate time to negotiate. And it would have prevented the DHS fight from distracting from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to Congress on Tuesday. A no-brainer, right?

(Snip)

Now news reports indicate that some Republicans are so mad at Boehner that they are talking about ousting him as speaker. For what? Being insufficiently suicidal?

They have placed Boehner in an unwinnable situation and are mad because he is trying to navigate it intelligently. The fact is there is no way for Republicans to win this fight unless the courts bail them out. The only winning strategy is for the GOP to buy time for the courts to reverse Obama’s unlawful action on immigration, just as they reversed his unlawful recess appointments last year.

(Snip)

The sad truth is that so long as Democrats are willing to put partisanship ahead of principle, the GOP will not have the votes to force Obama’s hand. Conservatives need to recognize this reality and put the blame where it belongs — with Senate Democrats, not John Boehner.
