I've heard some homosexuals praise the Koran. There is also a lot of pedophilia in the Islamic Middle East, as long as it takes place on the low down. I've also read some feminists praising burka because it takes female sexuality out of the equation.

As with a lot of liberalism, it doesn't have to make sense on the surface. Underneath it all, it's all about power. I'm sure liberals salivate about the close to absolute power Imams have over their faithful. After all, if you can convince someone to be a suicide bomber, convincing them to pay higher taxes should be easy.
