Healthcare.gov Still Unfinished Year After Feds Issued Dire Warning (Pelosi knew)

The website remains unfinished. Politico reported last week that the back end of Healthcare.gov “still isn’t properly wired to the health insurance companies.” Problems persist with subsidy payments, and information verification, resulting in roughly 800,000 enrollees receiving inaccurate subsidy information.

“Even though consumers had a largely smooth enrollment experience this year, the fact that these gaps persist behind the scenes 18 months after HealthCare.gov launched shows that the system is still not working as intended,” Politico said. “Instead of a swift process, health plans use clunky workarounds and manual spreadsheets. It takes time and it costs money.”

Kevin Counihan, the chief executive officer of Healthcare.gov who previously ran the Connecticut health insurance marketplace, recently told insurance brokers that “CMS is spending a lot of time focusing on how to improve the federal exchange’s back-end functions and that the agency meets at least weekly with a group of insurance officials from large companies to discuss its two-year development plan,” Politco Pro reported.

The House Energy and Commerce Committee said on that timeline, the back end of Healthcare.gov would not be completed by the time President Obama leaves the White House.

There was an article on Yahoo the other day talking about the possibility of Obama getting a third term. The author was pointing out that Washington set an “example” but it wasn’t law until after FDR. In other words, forget the FDR deal and let’s just say we don’t agree with Washington and Obama gets a third term if he wants it.

I wonder what the Clintons would think about that.

The website can never be made secure without starting all over again instead of doing patchwork, which can actually make it more insecure. This is what the security experts have said on Fox.

Is this the same Obama government administration that claims that they can process 10+ million illegal immigrants quickly and efficiently in the next two years? Right.

97.1 million no compete contract for one year. Lots of gravy in there. 500+ million for a continued 5 year contract, even more gravy there. Totally useless expenditures of our money.

So are they saying 7 SEVEN years after the law is passed they don't have a working accounting system in the data base?

Can you imagine a start up after having to jump through all the government fees, licenses, hoops and red tape, they have no way to keep track of their customers and say just 7 years more and then we will know if we are successful.

What is the R leadership afraid of?
