Why would the House approve a one week delay if they just voted down a three week delay?
They wouldn’t pass a 3wk but they passed 1 week???
Oh. I see. Bohener is now working with the DemRats to get it passed.
I suspect that the Dems are BLUFFING and know that they will be on the LOSING END of a shutdown.
How on Earth can they get on Sunday TV and say that the ONLY REASON that the DHS is shutdown is so that the President can illegally register millions of Illegals? They know it’s HOPELESS, but they really thought the Republicans would again buckle and give them everything.
They didn’t...not tonight, not yet. So they were trapped. They had to prevent the shutdown. Now they’ll have a week to let the Republican Advisers (most of them gay, by the way) do their work on the Republicans in the House to get them to at least buckle next week.
That’s my theory, at least.
Because the Dems will vote yes this time.
They are all pathetic. I do believe most of the congress have been compromised and that is why they are doing the bidding of he who shall not be named. This goes for members of both parties.

Now has 304 ayes. Still voting.

Steny Hoyer admitted it on the floor. But then he lamented the fact that they would not get paid when they went to work. Well IIRC Federal checks are issued once a month, so unless this thing drags on until April, nobody will even miss a check.

Funding through March 6th bill passes Houses; goes to Obama to sign, as previously approved Senate Amendment has been agreed to.
Houses adjourns until noon March 2nd.

I agree with you—after today the leadership are all liars on both sides of the aisle.
I have been upset all day with the antics of the whole lot of them.
I am convinced that we must form a conservative political party for 2016 without delay, as it has become obvious that it has been decreed that it will be Bush v. Clinton in 2016.
Either way, we all lose.
Yet, 70,000 illegals will invade America and be given jobs by the Chamber of Commerce during these seven days.
In other words, 70,000 broke American citizens will be denied the opportunity to earn a paycheck and put food in the mouths of their children during these same seven days.
But hey, at least we’ll all get to wave at the Chamber of Commerce float rolling by us in the parade on the Fourth of July!
