Nah. At the point where the science becomes unpoliticized enough to let true science occur, scientists will discover that homosexuality is almost totally environmental, either because of sexual experiences during adolescence (including abuse) or prenatal exposure to chemicals or hormones that increase the likelihood of same-sex attraction. They’re more likely to find a “conservative” gene than to find a “gay” one (i.e not likely at all)...

So, disagreeing with you about the origins of same sex attraction is “prejudice”? Are you sure you are on the right website, because that sure sounds like a liberal talking.
It’s no more prejudice than your prejudice (I.e. An opinion based on what you want to be true rather than what is true) that homosexuality has a genetic component. There’s no such evidence for that, either. So stop being prejudiced and wait for the evidence to come out....

I'd say that I'm as far right as possible, and my my worst - good Catholic - decision ever ... was casting my son adrift upon learning that he was homosexual.
Thankfully, we came to accept it ... and made peace with our son before he died.

I note that you chose definition number three, as in most dictionaries the first definition listed is to hold an opinion without facts or logical support. So you are even willing to be duplicitous in that. Your guilty conscious makes a genetic cause for homosexual behavior neither more nor less likely. It is not a rational basis for that declaration. There is a mountain of evidence that human sexual attraction develops during puberty in most adults, and can be shaped by personal experience. No appeal to genetics is necessary. Occam’s Razor. The genetic attribution is political in nature. It always has been.
Regarding your dictionary “placement” thinking, look up number one for the word “bigot.”
Once you resort to ad hominem, it becomes obvious you have no evidence to support your position. Accusing others of hatred is not a conservative tactic...
