But I will not injure a good conservative who could very well be our number 1 or number 2 guy on the 2016 ticket.

And BTW, neither will I. But I will not close my eyes to the truth.

That would be a plus, in my book.

Absolutely correct, when they are referred to as immigrants, we should always correct the language to the truth, either illegal aliens the correct legal term or my favorite, more accurate, Fraudulently Documented Foreigners.

Just a few days ago, there was a rating of politicians and IIRC, he scored neutral.

This is the part of that interview that clarifies what Walker is talking about.

Actually, I'm glad you asked about that, because the Wausau newspaper erroneously quoted me on that. They listed a video on their website that actually showed that the person who asked the question said that, not me, and ever since then I've had to deal with reports over and over again.

BAIER: So that's wrong?

WALKER: That's wrong. It's not what I said. I have said I believe we need a legal immigration system. I have said repeatedly I oppose amnesty

So, when he responds to the question about a pathway to citizenship, he says 'sure' and then he says 'BUT'. He's talking about a fix that involves legal immigration.

He is saying that those here illegally can get legal by means of the legal immigration system.

Depending on how that's put together, I have no problem with it.

And I absolutely do NOT want a comprehensive immigration bill. I want border, coast, airport, seaport, visa control first and SEPARATELY.

He should have said “there will be no amnesty” in a Walker adminstration.

YES!

And even then I won't believe him.

It’s not a question only for Walker. Cruz is for the legalization of those already here:

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/09/13/us/cruz-tries-to-claim-the-middle-ground-on-immigration.html?pagewanted=all

Snippet from the article:

What has not been as evident is what “he supports: legal status for millions of people here already, while making it easier for immigrants to come here through the front door”.

Nope, Scott Walker figured out that his Open-Border position and his ideas about giving amnesty to those already in-country just wasn't going to play well in the primaries, so like Mitt Romney, he decided to CHANGE his positions.

Walker never said he favors open borders. You are an effing LIAR!

Don’t bother trying to use logic with SoCalPubbie.

He is an abashed LIAR and refuses to see the truth. He is incapable of comprehending Walker’s words and accepts the twisting of those words by liberal journalists who desperately hope we do not nominate someone like Walker.

To me, anything short of deportation IS amnesty.

Illegal aliens are citizens of other countries who decide to plant themselves in America in defiance of our laws. They have no right, none, zero, nada, to be living and working in the United States.

If politicians refuse to enforce our laws and deport them then these hacks are giving these foreign nationals exactly what they want in the first place, residency in the United States.

This is something that has become totally blurred in the public mind. These aren’t sympathetic characters. These are opportunists who ignore dozens of laws daily as they live in the US. False identity papers, not paying taxes, no driver’s licenses, illegally accessing welfare, medical care, schooling, voting, the list goes on and on.

Those of us who live in California are far too familiar with what tolerating illegal immigrants has resulted in.

“Absolutely correct, when they are referred to as immigrants, we should always correct the language to the truth, either illegal aliens the correct legal term or my favorite, more accurate, Fraudulently Documented Foreigners.”

I’ve been using ‘illegal alien foreign nationals’ lately to emphasize what they are because I suspect too many people have come to believe that these opportunistic border trespassers have some kind of legitimacy.

SoConPubbie has been an FR friend for years. I agree that he is solidly behind Cruz, as am I, and I agree that he is single-minded in his pursuit of that end. I don’t see anything dishonest in his repeated citing of those lines that seem to make it appear that Walker was referring to illegals.

After the way conservatives have been treated on this subject, we should be wary of anyone and everyone. Even now we’re being sold down the river again by McConnel and the Senate on the defunding of amnesty payments only, although they have specifically defunded other things time and time again throughout history.

So, I’d be suspicious, too.

But I still don’t want a good conservative to be injured, and in this article Walker clearly stands against amnesty. In that other article, I can see someone arguing there was a lack of clarity. There is nothing ambiguous in this article, though.

Many Americans have great sympathy and that’s wonderful. Private charity for any valid humanitarian purpose should always, always, always be encouraged and lauded.

The problem comes when sympathetic Peter robs Paul to pay for Peter’s acts of sympathy. That’s just wrong.

The only other one who talks the walk is Cruz but he has not yet had the chance to prove that he can do what Walker did.

Ted Cruz also walks the talk!

Well when politicians like Bush and Obama subvert and refuse to enforce our immigration law it’s not private charity.

It’s lawlessness and it throws huge burdens on the communities that are colonized by border trespassers. It literally drives Americans from their homes. It creates a political power base that rewards lawless behavior by foreigners. California didn’t transform because Americans wanted it to happen.

If Americans want to give their money to foreign nationals they can send it to them in their home countries. After they have been deported on the first thing outbound.

It’s the duty of scofflaws like Dubya and Obama and their treason lobby clones to enforce our laws, not the ones they find politically convenient.

Nobody said it was, don’t change the subject, and don’t invent law you wish existed either.

I swear there are some people on here who are Dem’s posing as conservatives and their only goal is to get conservatives to stay home and not vote!

Their lament is no one is conservative enough therefore they will not vote and if you or I vote for this person, we are giving in to eeeevil! and shame on us.

And yes, I actually have seen the “shame on you” for voting for that evil Romney. lol There are some cracked critters on FR just like there are some cracked critters on DU.

“I swear there are some people on here who are Dem’s posing as conservatives and their only goal is to get conservatives to stay home and not vote!”

Republicans do a magnificent job of alienating conservatives all on their own.
