'Gestapo' tactics at US police 'black site' ring alarm from Chicago to Washington
The Guardian ^ | 2/26/2015 | Multiple Authors

The US Department of Justice and embattled mayor Rahm Emanuel are under mounting pressure to investigate allegations of what one politician called “CIA or Gestapo tactics” at a secretive Chicago police facility exposed by the Guardian.

Politicians and civil-rights groups across the US expressed shock upon hearing descriptions of off-the-books interrogation at Homan Square, the Chicago warehouse that multiple lawyers and one shackled-up protester likened to a US counter-terrorist black site in a Guardian investigation published this week.

As three more people came forward detailing their stories of being “held hostage” and “strapped” inside Homan Square without access to an attorney or an official public record of their detention by Chicago police, officials and activists said the allegations merited further inquiry and risked aggravating wounds over community policing and race that have reached as high as the White House.

Without morality, then, we are lost. That is the key. And you are correct. But morality is not completely lost among the tens of thousands of officers appointed to the courts. I have seen exceptions. But the good still out-number the bad. The traction to oppose such wonton disregard for uprightness is often weak among peers and superiors. But egregious violators are yet prosecuted. Humans are imperfect...but still tend toward perfection.

With regard to accused or convicted....accused have the right to be tried by jury. It is incumbent upon the state to make certain that the person accused and arrested is the same person before the court, later in the process. That requires absolute certainty as to identity. The accused is compelled to satisfy the court of identity....especially so that no innocent person be punished. Non- compliance with that necessary and proper safeguard compels custody of the accused.

>>Feds are on track to outdo the Gestapo with their black hearts and technology.

I agree. The Gestapo was so good at what they did because they took an evil ideology (of Progressivism) and multiplied it by German efficiency. Then, the US beat them through even better efficiency. Then, we spent the last 70 years becoming the cold-hearted nation of efficiency experts that we are.

Our Gestapo will definitely outdo theirs.

I’ve lived in Chicago for 30 years and this does not surprise me in the least. Chicago cops have a long history of playing tough with the gang-infested, criminal underclass that comprises a very large part of the city. And the liberal, prosperous, white voters who live mainly on the north side cast a blind eye to police brutality in other parts of the city.

I see two major cultural trends occurring in the USA that I believe will eventually have to come to a head.

Look at all the pro-gun movement over the past 30 years, in particular recall the state by state conceal carry law changes over the years, open carry now being passed, and even constitutional carry, and states passing laws that federal gun laws don't apply to guns built and sold in the state. While the feds have been trying to chip away at gun rights for many years, several states have been making major changes to restore our gun rights. Gun ownership is at an all time high despite the feds! Obama is the gun salesman of the century!

Contrast this with the downward spiral into socialism/facism, government spending that is going to break our economy, this administrations open lawlessness, and the fecklessness of the opposition party to do anything about all this. I don't believe our standard of living can be maintained with where our federal government is headed. Americans eventually won't be able to afford to sit on the couch watching tv.

These two trends are in complete opposition with one another. A government run by socialism and corruption cannot maintain itself with such an armed citizenry. It also can't disarm such citizenry without major bloodshed.

How do you reconcile this? How will this will all end?

I understand a huge portion of these couch potatoes, are not going to get up, get their gun, and go do anything. They will probably turn in their guns for food and tv.

But I am convinced there is a small patriot population, that will eventually take action. And history has shown it doesn't take but just a few true warriors.

“No, there will be no revolt.”

After seeing the Bundy Ranch standoff I’m not so sure about that.

Well said my FRiend, exactly as I have thought for decades. It’s over. If they even give us a choice of bullet, rope, or knife, we should be happy.

The Brown shirts of the Left are now here.

Soon the only way to divest ourselves of them will be to fight or flee the country.

There are legitimate mechanisms to handle MS13 and illegals.

Don’t look the other way — that only enables the regime’s ongoing violations against Constitutional law.
