While you were all engrossed by CPAC and rampant llamas, the Federal Communications Commission today voted in favor of new net neutrality regulations that, if fully implemented, would mean internet service providers could not discriminate in which sites and services customers would get access to.
Websites like Reddit were at the forefront of net neutrality advocacy, and President Obama even voiced support of it months ago.
So today, the president actually thanked Reddit directly in this hand-written note:

More gov’t regulation at this point is not going to be of any help to anyone who sees the Constitution as legitimate and not merely as firewood. Leftist websites are saying they need it to survive in the future, so ... draw your own conclusions from there.

I’ll bet you torrents / torrent sites are among the first targets of our new regulatory overlords. Hollywood has been losing its collective mind over them for a while now. You’d think the basement dwellers would get torqued over something like this, but once they’re told to believe a certain way, they’ll carry out those orders thinking that they’re doing it under free will.
Definitely a little light in the loafers.
