Prior to his speech at CPAC Thursday afternoon, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) didn’t mince words. He bluntly told reporters how nervous he is about the president’s final 20 months in office.
“The next 20 months are going to be very dangerous,” he said. “They are going to be dangerous at home. President Obama has reacted to this last election in a way that’s unprecedented. You know, prior presidents have been repudiated [and] they’ve reacted with contrition. [P]resident Obama, instead, reacted with anger and defiance.”
“I believe the next 20 months we are going to see a degree of lawlessness that will exceed anything we’ve seen in the previous six years,” he continued. “I think we’re going to see executive order after executive order. I think we’re going to see the abuse of regulations in a way that crushes small businesses, destroys jobs. I think we are going to see the continued weaponization of the IRS in the federal government, and it is going to be dangerous.”
He expressed hope, however, that Congressional Republicans will fulfill their constitutional duties and, as he put it, “rein in that abuse of power and provide meaningful oversight.” But unfortunately, he said, there are other concerns to be worried about as well.
“And I’ll tell you as dangerous as it’s going to be at home, it’s going to be even more dangerous aboard,” he emphasized. “Every bad actor on the face of the globe, from Putin to Khomeini in Iran to ISIS, has every incentive possible to do as much damage as they can in [the next] 20 months."

Because, he argued, "the tyrants of the world believe there is no credible threat or deterrent from this president.”

After listening to Walker trying to somehow explain that his experience dealing with Union activitists gives him the experience needed to deal with people like ISIS and giving the MSM the thought he was thinking unionists could be similar to ISIS folks, I think I am more and more interested in Cruz.

Calm down I am not your enemy. I have sent Cruz $x,xxx dollars over the last few years and I like him. However the Republicans “in total” are becoming one big trojan horse. How do we know Ted int just a side show to placate the meat eaters. Same thing with Trey in the house. Billions of words no deeds. I challenge anyone to tell me on thing that has even slowed down Obama or run away Government the GOP have actually put it on the line for. My disgust with the GOP is growing ( I dont think they are cowards I am starting to believe they are just the other side of the statist coin). Hell their favorite son Jeb Bush even wants to replace americans with immigrants to improve the country. I am 68 years old Viet Nam vet and been watching this shit for a long long time. I am mighty sick of being lied to and out grew ignorant loyalty at any cost attitude a long time ago. I dont have that many yeears left so actually I should just , as you say, shut up and watch the fire burn it down but somehow I just cant keep my mouth shut and I dont give a shit what you think. Thank you for the response and your service. I agree with you on the games, but I think you should roll the tinfoil back just a little. Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and Jeff Sessions are doing the yeoman’s work in congress and they have track records outside of congress. Trey Goudy, I’m not sure, but I’m hopeful.
In my opinion it’s all going to burn down in the end. The country you and my father fought for no longer exists, it was taken in a silent coup. No political solution will fix it , but we shouldn’t tear down everyone willing to oppose the dictator.
Don’t disagree and I hope we don’t forget to include the dim party in criticism too.

I’m surprised anyone has the nerve to tell anyone to take “off the tinfoil” anymore. We “conspiracy theorists” have been vindicated. Im not happy about that. But it’s such a throwback to hear/see that attitude at this point.

It is interesting- I read about Alexis just last week and he certainly meets all the qualifications. Self described athesist, communist, unmarried, young and some might say nice looking (not to me as a female). I also noticed the star and the word “change” on his red banner thingy. He will lead Greece to ruin!
