A private business should be able to do what they want. The government should be forcibly integrated.
If a restaurant wants to limit its customer base, it’s their money.
Ince all taxpayers contribute to the government, it needs to support equality of access.
I am old enough to remember “white” and “colored” water fountains,
and the restaurants that had two entrances,
and the separate schools for whites and blacks.

What is the latest year where your above was in force? and did location in the USA make a difference?
That was rural middle Georgia in the mid 1960’s.
Folks just seemed to get along better back then.
My mama (still living) will be 95 in June.
She still uses the term “colored”.
I was born in ‘51.
