Unless it impacts American Idol or the NFL or NBA the majority won’t care...

I would like to see ... “build your own cable” [lineup]. That is something that the cable companies have REFUSED to do ... to let people choose ONLY the channels they want and JUST pay for those channels alone!

THAT is a consumer option I would like to see!

Pay for a good VPN service and connect to servers outside the U.S., that should eliminate any blocking issues that take place within the country. I’ve been connecting to Canada servers lately and the difference in speed has been significant, in a good way, versus using servers in the US.

I see that Comcast charged Netflix an EXTRA CHARGE to “speed up” access for Netflix. I’m sure those millions of dollars being charged to Netflix is being passed on to me as a customer of Netflix.

The thing is, I pay for my bandwidth already. Netflix pays for its bandwidth ... so why am I having to pay MORE when both sides have paid FULLY for bandwidth?

I hope you’re right about people saying enough is enough, Biggirl, but I fear that as long as people have the modern equivalents of bread and the circus - gadgets, entertainment and sports, they don’t care about much else.

Who could have seen that a fatherless and often motherless narcissist with a youthful interest in Communism would want to start ruling more and more by fiat?

Anyone with a little bit of wisdom and knowledge of history. In other words, not a majority of Americans.

The rich already have the power in this nation and they know it. The poor will not revolt in this country until the EBT cards stop working.

The wealthy in the US have a sweet deal; get 70% of us to pay the freight on the bottom 25%, while the 5% at the top just keep getting more and more. The fools at the bottom and top are eating the essence away from the middle 2/3rds of us and that will come back to bite them — it is simply a question of whether there will be too effective of a police state at that point to conduct a proper popular uprising.

Not true.
Revolutions generally come from the middle class. The poor are struggling to survive and don't have the time or energy. The rich are happy with the status quo.

I know. We could end up like the old USSR where we all will have to huddle around a shortwave radio. I’m an amateur radio operator so i have several. I have one in my jacket pocket, some crappy Chinese made one Dad gave me but it works. I picked up Romania
on it.

Mark Cuban is far more a puppet than anything else these days.... I’d take anything out of his mouth with less serious thought than what comes out of trumps...

He’s a media personality anymore.

What this could all come down to is that we could very well see for REAL an American Spring, with at least protests.

Here’s a view on him I found in the WSJ, so I can’t really answer your question:

Despite his support for President Obama’s health-care plan, Mr. Cuban doesn’t associate himself with either party and considers himself “apolitical.” He says he used to be a libertarian but now thinks of himself as an independent.

The Rich as a class don’t revolt. The bombthrowers that get things started tend to be sons and daughters of the rich who feel guilty for being rich along with the progeny of the upper middle class.
