The 4 million “conservatives” who stayed home in 2012 knew Obama would complete his destruction on our nation his last four years if he wasn’t stopped, but they found it more important to have their little sorry a$$ pity party.

I don't know how this myth got started, but Obama still won by 5 million votes despite receiving 3.5 million less votes than he received in 2008. And Romney received 1 million more votes than McCain.

2008

Obama 69,499,428 (52.86%)

McCain 59,950,323 (45.60%)

2012

Obama 65,918,507 (51.01%)

Romney 60,934,407 (47.15%)

And if these 4 million mythical conservatives had shown up in 2012, what states would Romney have won from Obama? Electoral votes are the ones that count in a Presidential election.

Oh, so now they’re “mythical”? Okay got it. Thanks for clarifying that for me.

Pfft.

At this late date, anyone claiming conservative stay-at-homes changed the outcome of the 2012 election is just lying and hoping no one will notice. It’s become just an insult without meaning.

Want to know where to find missing conservative votes? Unregistered/non-voting/Democrat-voting self-identified evangelical Christians.

The myth started based on a single flawed article that came out before all the vote totals were even in, and it was quickly debunked once we could look at the numbers.

That hasn’t deterred those who love to blame conservatives for Romney’s failed campaign (if you can even call it a campaign).
