39% of welfare recipients are black. 70%+ of black children are born out of wedlock (i.e. into single parent families)

Interestingly, I did a few rough calculations based on 30% of whites and 72% of blacks being born out of wedlock and blacks being 13% of population... the percentage of children born out of wedlock that are black is not that far off from the percentage of welfare recipients that are black.
