This is the perfect example why the internet should not be regulated.

Regulators can be lobbied/convinced to see things from the perspective of the prospective winners.

And the losers are SOL.

Even IF they were always well meaning.

And of course we know they are not. They are for sale...if not now, when they rotate out to the private sector.

Before they rotate in again.

All designed to get control over significant Web content prior to the 2016 election. Mark my words.

What we need is a flash mob of about a million outside the FCC.

This thing is full of “unintended” consequences, just like every other thrown together to see what sticks Obama idea.

“..This thing is full of “unintended” consequences..”

Yes, and it is full of INTENDED consequences as well. This mess had better trigger various First Amendement SCOTUS challenges. Obama is totally out of control — Thank You Congress.

Politico must have got to read the 300+ pages we’re not privileged enough to see.

Ruh-roh! If Mr Wheeler doesn’t do exactly what Soros and Obama want.......he is likely in for a world of hurt! That’s what happens when you have a puppetmaster and a willing stooge in charge.

I was wondering the same thing. How can Google know what is in it and why don’t we all know.

If you look at this schlemiel’s history, he is Mr. Non-Profit of the Internet.

Non-Profit. That is, just waiting for the chance to trade Control for future Gov’t Contracts.

Those who can, do, those who can’t, regulate.

That he is enough of a schmuck to be willing to be Obama’s fall guy for this, says all you need to know about him.

The power to regulate is the power to destroy. “You didn’t create this” is about to become the law of the land. Who out there actually thinks nationalizing the internet is a good idea?

The IRS targeted anyone they considered the government’s enemies and got away with it. They’ll do the same thing with the internet. It won’t be that they’ll charge a site like Free Republic $10,000 for a license and the Huff Post $10. They’ll just simply deny Free Republic’s license application.

The question is simple. What can the people do about it?

Google, and all the other providers and search engines, are owned by the government.

The simple fact is we all NEED to get some tinfoil.
