And there were those on Saddam’s scientific team who did what they could to thwart his attempts at obtaining functional WMDs.
If a felon tries to obtain a weapon he is prohibited by agreement from obtaining, do you look the other way? This is what Saddam repeatedly did following the first Gulf War.

When Hillary announces her candidacy for president, both sides of the political spectrum will be united, as Hillary wishes.
Conservatives will be criticizing Hillary for her views, and liberals will be criticizing her for so dominating the Democratic nominating process that no liberal voices will be permitted to be heard as Hillary prepares to be coronated as Queen of the Democrats at their convention.

These phrases are meant to sound benign. However, the reality is they want to regulated dissenting speech. They just know if they come out and are honest about what they want to do, even the most low info voter understands that's violation of free speech
