A legally blind 93-year-old woman was able to pull an alarm and summon help from neighbors as a stranger battered and then sexually assaulted her in her apartment, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.
About 2:30 a.m. Monday, the woman had taken trash to the receptacle at the end of her hall and was surprised by Clyde Alvims Leandre, 22, of Delray Beach, according to Detective Ian Kuechler.
The incident happened in the Highland Gardens apartments at 331 Northeast 48th St. Each apartment has cords near beds and toilets that activate an emergency alarm as well as a hallway light outside a tenant's door.

We agree. The right idea is to do it quickly. It might make a few people think a little more about a life of crime. It would be cheaper for taxpayers too.
His facial expression is anything but remorseful. More like indignant that he would be arrested for such a thing.
He needs to be washed off of this Earth.

This isn’t the first time this has happened in South Florida. A few very sick young black men seem to have an unnatural and evil desire to rape very old women.

young males, especially this kind, have very little impulse control or critical thinking...its always attack, attack, attack....
but don't be thinking that there ever is a reason for this animal behavior because there's not....the "reasons" always are developed after the attack.....
the only reason they need is opportunity...
The crime took place in Pompano Beach, Broward County (Ft. Lauderdale area) in a low-income apartment complex.
Usually it's the other way around.
